The next Boosters meeting is being held on June 17, 6:30 p.m., at the Jaszczak's residence, 6672 Beverly May Drive. This meeting will be a social affair featuring food and fun. The main course will be provided, boosters are asked to bring a side dish. Please RSVP by 6/15 to Elizabeth
We received a card from a student who thanked the boosters for assistance in paying for their Florida trip, which otherwise would have been unaffordable.
There are a number of T-shirts left from the Gunner tribute. Anyone interested in a shirt, at a reduced price of $8, should contact Don Krolikowski, 216-524-8260. The video of the tribute event is still being processed. Eric Sarley completed the interview video and presented it to Mr. Gunlicks.
The Commissioned Musical Piece, which will be presented to and in the name of Mr. Gunlicks , is on schedule to be completed later this year. The piece was funded by the boosters in appreciation for Mr. Gunlicks' years of service to the district. There will be a premiere performance of the piece by the IHS Concert Band.
Current enrollment for marching band: 58 HS students (61 last year); 22 8th grade students; plus a few returning upperclassmen brings our total to 90 students (about same as 2009). The Drill team will perform with 14 members (up from 2009). Student officers are: Joe Ciulla - President; Mallory Krolikowski - VP; Sarah Baran - Secretary; Nick Martin - Treasurer.

• July 3rd Independence Day Celebration, Volunteers needed for Hamburger & Hot Dog Stand. Contact Don Krolikowski if you wish to help.
• Raffle tickets for Home Days are available for sale now. All band members will be required to sell tickets. Contact Judy Ciulla. The Band will again sponsor the Home Days pop stand with all proceeds benefiting the Independence Music Department.
• Community Summer Concert, July 9 - Volunteers and bakery needed.
